The Auxiliary invites members to be involved for as much or as little time as a volunteer is able to give. Volunteering may include committee work to help plan special events, hands-on volunteering with residents or simply supporting Auxiliary activities and programs. The Auxiliary hosts special events for residents throughout the year. Everyone involved—the residents, the volunteers and the staff—enjoy festive decor and scrumptious meals and treats while having a great time celebrating holidays together. Be part of the fun and sign up to work on one of our special event committees.
Every other year, we produce an incredible dinner of honor that raises hundred of thousands of dollars for special programs and equipment benefiting the residents of all our Jewish Home Life Communities. Click here to learn more.
Wine & Cheese
In the late summer, we hold a fun afternoon of tasty cheese, fruit, and sweets. We also serve beverages to the residents in the lovely garden outdoor sitting area. A sing-a-long makes this a very entertaining affair.
This is a wonderful program enjoyed by family members of both the residents and volunteers. A festive atmosphere with holiday entertainment makes this a very special evening.
February presents a wonderful time complete with balloons, cards, roses, and heart-shaped candy, with music and dancing for all at the Sweetheart’s Ball! We serve a delicious supper and special desserts at this fancy occasion. Escorts are provided for residents.
The Fiesta Celebration is a fun-filled event with guacamole, salsa, chips and Mexican desserts. We decorate the place with Mexican-themed colors and accessories.
