ARTS FOR ALZHEIMER’S A4A-Atlanta is a collaborative arts network involving the Alzheimer’s Association of Georgia, Spruill Center for the Arts and The William Breman Jewish Home. Our Mission is to connect the creative arts community and people living with Alzheimer’s to enhance joy, happiness and meaning through creativity. A4A is an innovative program of art as a non-pharmacologic treatment for people living with Alzheimer’s. The project aims to de-stigmatize Alzheimer’s disease and enhance the emotional and spiritual well being of people living with Alzheimer’s and their families. By donating one hour or one session per year, artists help people with Alzheimer’s reconnect with their inner selves and find new outlets for creative expression.

Our training program gives artists the necessary tools for relating to people living with Alzheimer’s. Artists engage in interactive, experiential, hands-on training, with regular feedback and full staff support during arts activities.

A4A collaborates with museums and galleries to train docents for tours designed for people with memory impairments and their caregivers.
